Clic Country Fans..WHO DO WE REALLY BLAME?

I know we've talked about the "new country sound" and the way "today's radio" have pushed our LEGENDS back in a corner..my question is..who do we really blame for the CRAPPY NEW COUNTRY SOUND? should the newer singers have stood their ground and refuse to record such GARBAGE and risk not having a career at all, are they singing what they really want to sing? I ask this cause I'm always hearing people like garth brooks and shania twain claim that MERLE HAGGARD AND DOLLY PARTON INFLUENCED THEM BUT YET...???...I'm just curious to hear your take on this.
