Sound before car shifts?

Hello, I have a 95 taurus and Sometimes I hear a noise before the car shifts. It sounds like crickets.. or kinda like birds chirping. If I release the gas pedal it stops. Does anybody have any idea what it might be? I recently replaced the pcv valve, air filter, spark plugs and wires, distibutor rotor and cap. Any ideas?
