Since John McCain has proved that he will crack under pressure why would anyone want him for president?

I saw a McCain ad that featured the beginning of one of the anti American tapes he made for the Vietnamese. It was supposed to make me empathize him for his capture. But for me it reminded that he cracked under pressure.
