Threatened miscarriage?

I found out i was pregnant yesterday.When i got up this morning i was cramping and spotting.I called my doctor and they said there was nothing they could do just go to the emergence room.There they took blood and told me that im just a few weeks pregnant and im on bed rest now.The doctor said that this doesn't mean im having a miscarriage but there is still a chance.They want me to go to my doctor next week and do blood work to see if my hgc levels are up.Has any body else gone through this and ended up having a healthy baby.
