Does anyone else think this isn't the "american" way?

Here is an advantage for atheists. If you don't believe in god, then why should you be scared to put your hand on the bible for oath? If your a true atheist then that should not bother you at all. You should be able to say "I do" in court to swear under oath and you should feel comfortable to lie in court cause you don't believe there is a god.
