Is William Faulkner's novel "The Sound and the Fury" a good book?

I read the book for English as well, and it will depend on your taste. The book is VERY complex, and the narration and character are never clear, it's a lot like reading through a foggy haze if you know what I mean. If you just want an entertaining and perhaps simple book I'd turn away immediately. If you like a challenge and thoughtful book go ahead. It is based in the south, so expect that type of book.
