Sims Bustin Out on GBA SP----HELP ME PLEASE?

have come to gaming rather later in life than some-i.e am an idiot--how do you get to inherit the barn and put all that furniture in it that is in the yard ?? Have tried all the controls and can't work it out-have looked online and detailed instructions seem to be based on other gaming gadgets like gamecube or pc
